First rehearsal/Meeting tonite regarding winterguard! We're meeting at east campus. We probably won't do much more than talking about the season and the show design and then do a flag block and possibly a rifle block with everyone. So let's go from 6-8pm tonite.
Banquet tommorow! Let's meet at 6pm in the Band Room. Can I have people with the last name's that start with A - M bring main dishes. N - T side dishes and salads. Everyone else bring Stuff to drink and deserts. Remember this is a potluck! You don't bring food we don't eat. I'll buy the plates and cups and all that! IMPORTANT REMINDER! PLEASE BRING ALL YOUR UNIFORM PIECES AND UNIFORM BAG TO THE BANQUET! We'll be doing a check in of equipment and uniforms on wednesday. If you don't turn everthing back in a timely manner we will be charging your student accounts! So just bring it back already ;o)
Can't wait for tonite and tommorow!

Hey Everyone,
First off, Congratulations! I am very proud of our final run of the Fall Season! You guys should hear the Guard Judge's tape! He practically gushes over us. I'll play it at the Fall Guard Banquet, which is a convenient segue into:
- Fall Guard Banquet! It will be this next wednesday the 21st. The day BEFORE Thanksgiving. It will be 6-8 in the Kamiak Band Room. I'll need a few kids there early to help me get setup. This is something I would like you all to invite your parents to as it will be a POTLUCK so think of some yummy dishes to bring. The guard will supply plates and cups and plastic dinnerware ;o) We'll be handing out awards, watching a DVD of the performance, and listening to the guard judges tape! Be there!
- First Winter rehearsal! It will be Tuesday evening from 5:45-9 at east campus. We'll hopefully be playing the full soundtrack, explaining the california trip, the possible portland trip, and the floor and costuming. BRING PEOPLE I would like atleast 16 to 17 people. I am SOO VERY EXCITED FOR THIS SHOW.
- Floor Painting! I'll need some help from people if they are willing to spend a few hours pulling out the floor and helping me get some painting done on friday.. the day after thanksgiving. Let me know! I'll be mentioning all this at Banquet.<br>

Hello Everyone!
The Fall Show Band season is coming to a close and what a season it has been. The Kamiak Colorguard saw the biggest Colorguard to ever take the field along side the Show Band. And, along with a group that has 12 seniors out of a group of 20, this has been one of our most talented groups ever! Thanks to everyone for all the support and encouragement during the Show Band Season.
Now that the Show Band season is ending the Colorguard will be gearing up for the 2008 Winterguard season. Our show concept this season is entitled “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” based on the book by Stephen Chbosky and featuring music from the band Sigur Ros. As always the Kamiak Winterguard will be hosting a show on January 26th taking place all day in the Gym. Any volunteers or support would be welcome. Please contact Chuck Newcombe or myself if you are interested. If you can’t volunteer you should definitely come check out the show to see some of the best winterguards in the NW and watch Kamiak defend its reigning championship status for a 3rd year in a row! Any student interested in auditioning for the winterguard should contact me or any current guard member.
Also start checking www.kamiakguard.org for updates and information about the guard! Its bare bones right now but it will soon be a fantastic resource for all things guard related. It’s just one step in our plan to build the program into a NW powerhouse!
Yours,
Jonathon Brown
